Privacy
We take the protection of your data seriously and process it in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (DSG). Here’s what data we collect, why, and who we share it with.
Who is responsible

Visiting the website
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the date and time, and the content you requested, in order to deliver the page and protect it against attacks. We don’t use any analytics or advertising tools, and we don’t use tracking cookies. We serve fonts and map images ourselves. When you pick a language in the language switcher, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage (localStorage). This isn’t a cookie. Your choice isn’t sent to us or to any server, and you can delete it by clearing the website data in your browser.
Contact form
When you write to us through the contact form, we process your name, your email address, your phone number (optional) and your message in order to reply to you. Your message is sent to us by email, and you receive a copy as confirmation.
Membership application and supporters
When you apply for membership, we process the details from the form: salutation, name, address, date of birth, phone number, email address, the membership you chose and, for juniors, the contact details of a parent or legal guardian. For supporters, it’s your name, email address (optional) and the amount of your contribution. We need this data to manage your membership, bill membership fees and keep you up to date on club life. Your application is sent to us by email and stored in a member list in Google Sheets.
Spam protection
We protect our forms with Cloudflare Turnstile. Cloudflare uses technical characteristics of your browser to check whether a human is submitting the form.
Sharing with service providers
To run the website and the forms, we work with these service providers:
- Cloudflare (hosting, spam protection)
- Resend (sending the emails from the forms)
- Google (member list in Google Sheets)
These service providers may also process data outside Switzerland, for example in the United States. We share only the data necessary for each purpose, and we never sell it.
Links to other services
Our website links to YouTube, Google Maps, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, UDisc and our donation page at RaiseNow, among others. We don’t embed these services directly. A provider’s privacy policy applies only once you click a link to it.
How long we keep data
We delete messages from the contact form as soon as your request has been resolved. We keep member data for as long as you’re a member, and after that only for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what data we process about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Just email us at kontakt@lakeside-discgolf.ch.
